The days passed by and the last day of the ten day induction had come, and now they were supposed to join their individual projects. In these ten days both karunya and Aaasma had not spoken to each other, but were getting attracted to each other with every passing day. Even after reaching home, the maximum time passed brooding about each other, with infinite questions with really confusing and more leading questions.
A day before the last day of induction , karunya was thinking " Tomorrow, the induction would get over and i have not even spoken to her. There is something which is related , but what? i will have to speak to her tomorrow and at least get over this really strange situation"
At the same time Aaasma was also thinking " Who is this guy? How did he know my name at the station. How come we both landed up in the same job. why is it that it is not resistable not to talk to him. i should get over this confusion tomorrow itself, else if we get into different projects, it will stay un resolved. i will do it tomorrow positively."
When the session broke off for the lunch, both of them instead of going straight to the buffet table moved towards each other, to start a conversation. They came close to each other, and karunya initiated , " Hi! How are you". 'Good , doing fine' said Aaasma. " I wanted to speak to you" , both said at the same time and started smiling with the thought that both were eager to speak to each other.
Karunya said, " Do you have any idea' how did the incident at the station happened" " This is the same confusion which i wanted to clarify from you", said Aaasma. " In , that case, lunch is for a hour , can we do one thing. Let's have a quick lunch and sit over a cup of coffee at the cafe outside", said karunya. She agreed immediately.
They were sitting at the cafe. Aaasma said, " You are Karunya, Right!. Yes, he said. To try solving the puzzle of that incident, probably we can share our family details , schooling, places we have stayed. May be we can find some clue."
" So i start . My family includes my parents, my elder brother, his wife and a kid and my younger sister, My father was in the indian army, mother a housewife and brother is presently serving Indian Army as a Major. A nephew who is 6 years old and the younger sister has joined NIFT, the fashion school. My father was in the army, so we have travelled and stayed at places like pune, udhampur, bhopal, bangalore, chennai, siliguri, cochin and at last in Delhi. His last posting was in Delhi and we belong from Delhi, so my father finally decided to settle here itself. I have graduated from IIT delhi this year and now i am here in Microsoft", said Karunya.
Aaasma was thinking all this while to find a link where she could fit in her association somehow, but she failed to do so.
She said, " I am from a muslim family from Lucknow. I have two elder sisters both are married and settled with their respective families. One of them, the eldest one has two kids and lives with her husband in Dubai. The one elder to me, is in Hyderabad and stays with her in laws. She has a lovely young son. My father has retired from the telephone exchange department at Lucknow and mother is a teacher in a Convent school in Lucknow. I have recently graduated from IIT, Powai, Mumbai."
So i find no common connection or a point where we can recall that we have met or known each other in any way', said Aaasma.
Both were more confused now.
